“From Home to Workplace – Mental Health Matters Everywhere”
Punjabiheadline( HS KITTY ) World Mental Health Day is observed every year on 10th October to raise awareness about mental well-being and promote positive mental health across all spheres of life.
On this occasion, Dr. Mamta Singla, Professor & Head, Department of Psychiatry, Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC), Ludhiana, was invited by Tata Steel, Ludhiana, to conduct an awareness lecture on the theme “Mental Health Matters Everywhere – From Home to Workplace.”
The session was conducted by Dr. Mamta Singla, Professor & Head, Department of Psychiatry, CMC, along with Ms. Ashima Jain, Physician Assistant, Department of Psychiatry.
During her address, Dr. Mamta Singla highlighted the importance of emotional well-being and the deep connection between mental health and workplace productivity. She shared valuable insights and practical strategies for maintaining a healthy work-life balance, managing stress, and building resilience in daily life.
The lecture was well attended by Tata Steel Ludhiana officers, including Mr. David William (Chief Ludhiana Project), and members of the HR team – Mr. Kanu Agrawal (Head HR), Mr. Arun Kumar Kabi, and Ms. Anupa Elizabeth, along with senior engineers from Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil departments, and several staff members.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, emphasizing the collective message that mental health is as vital as physical health. Participants agreed that creating a culture of awareness, acceptance, and support at the workplace is essential to build a healthier, happier, and more compassionate workforce.
