CMC Ludhiana’s Dr. Kavita M. Bhatti Represents Punjab at ‘Mission NEEeV’ — A National Step Towards Zero Preventable Maternal and Neonatal Mortality

Ludhiana  (HS KITTY )Dr. Kavita M. Bhatti, Professor and Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC), Ludhiana, proudly represented Punjab as a Key Opinion Leader at the Mission NEEeV program — “A Step Towards Zero Preventable Maternal and Neonatal Mortality.

The prestigious event was organized by the Delhi Gynaecologists Forum (DGF), AOGD, and Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi, on 2nd November 2025.

Accompanying Dr. Bhatti from CMC Ludhiana were Dr. Olivia Samuel and Dr. Ra

who also actively participated in the program.

Mission NEEeV marks a transformative step toward achieving the vision of “Zero Preventable Maternal and Neonatal Mortality” in India. The initiative focuses on building a strong foundation — NEEeV — for safe motherhood, emphasizing:

Awareness of red flag signs,

Golden hour management,

Maternal collapse protocols, and

Effective prevention and management of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH).

The program also featured hands-on skill sessions, emergency drills, and case-based discussions, aimed at strengthening clinical preparedness and response at every level of healthcare.

Over 350 doctors from Delhi and neighboring states participated, reaffirming the medical community’s collective commitment to safeguarding mothers and newborns across India.

Under the visionary leadership of DGF and AOGD, Mission NEEeV is envisioned as a sustained platform for continuous training, skill upgradation, collaborative learning, and united action—ensuring that every birth is safe and every life truly counts.
