Department of Nephrology CMCH Ludhiana celebrated world kidney day 2024

Ludhiana Punjabi Healine (H S KITTY)The Department of Nephrology CMCH Ludhiana celebrated world kidney day 2024. The theme of world kidney day 2024 is Kidney health for all – Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice. Department of Nephrology organized this event to raise awareness about kidney health and to emphasize the importance of preventive measures and early detection of Kidney diseases.

The chief guest of the event was Dr. William bhatti Director CMCH Ludhiana who addressed the audience about the kidney health. There were many activities conducted to increase the awareness like quiz and poster making competition.

There were various presentations addressing preventive aspects of chronic kidney disease, various modalities of renal replacement therapy and vascular access. Great enthusiasm was seen among students and staff members. There are seven golden rules of prevention of kidney diseases – regular checkups, control blood pressure, manage blood sugar, eat a healthy diet, exercise, quit smoking and avoid overuse of painkiller medicines.
