Games of Motherland Punjab 2024 -*

* Excellent cycling competitions held in different age groups *
Ludhiana, 27 November (HARMINDER SINGH KITTY) – Great cycling competitions took place today during the state level games under the Games of Motherland Punjab – Season-3 Cycling competitions of different age groups will be held from 27 to 29 November.

District Sports Officer Mr. Kuldeep Chugh said that players of under-14, 17, 21, 21-30 and 31-40 age groups are participating in the road race while track cycling is involved of under-14, 17. 21, 21-30 and above 30 age groups.
District Sports Officer Mr. Kuldeep Chugh officially inaugurated this tournament and encouraged the players.
On the occasion Sports Convener Mr. Simranjit Singh, Offi: District Sports Officer, Gurdaspur Co Convener Shri. Satwinder Singh Cycling Coach Ludhiana, Mr. Harsimranjit Singh Cycling Coach, Mrs. Sukhpal Kaur Cycling Coach Bathinda and Group Coaches were present.
The district sports officer said that the cycle valley route competition was conducted from Government Primary School Ramgarh to village Sahbana (4 km). While sharing today’s results, they mentioned that Mandeep Singh (Amritsar) secured first position in the 40 km mass start competitions of the 21-30 group road race, Pardeep Singh ( Amritsar) secured second position and Mohammad Naseer ( Ludhiana ) secured third position.
In the 30 km mass start of 31-40 group – Gurbaj Singh (Gurdaspur) got first, Satbir Singh (Amritsar) got second and Sarpreet Singh (Patiala) got third.
30 km mass start competitions in Women 21-30 group road race – Rajveer Kaur (Tarantaran) secured first position, Vidhi Tejpal (Ludhiana) secured second position and Mehakdeep Kaur (Bathinda) secured third position.
In 20 km mass start of 31-40 group – Pushpinder Kaur (Patiala) got first, Sukhpal Kaur (Bathinda) got second and Rajinder Kaur (Ludhiana) got third.
Track event competitions of this tournament will be held on 28-29 November 2024 at the Cycling Velodrome of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
