Empowering Healers with Knowledge — Enhancing Care Through Cosmetic Awareness
Ludhiana, July 30:Punjabiheadline(HARMINDER SINGH KITTY) The Department of Plastic Surgery at Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital, Ludhiana, organized an informative and interactive session titled “Awareness on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery” today, specially designed for healthcare support and nursing staff. 
The session was led by Dr. Pinki Pargal, Professor and Head, Department of Plastic Surgery, who elaborated on the distinction between reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeries, highlighting the growing demand and availability of safe, effective treatments at CMC.
Dr. Pinki detailed a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures now routinely performed at CMC, including:

Dr. Pinki appreciated the nursing staff as the strong support system of the hospital and emphasized their vital role in educating society about modern cosmetic treatments. She especially thanked Sister Sangeeta Nichols, Nursing Superintendent, for organizing the participation of a large group of Ward In-charges, Nurses, and Support Staff.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with attendees actively engaging in Q&A, sharing perceptions, and gaining clarity on many cosmetic myths.
The overall aim was to promote evidence-based awareness, enabling staff to assist patients and educate communities effectively.
The Department, including Dr. Pinki Pargal, Dr. Pallavi Nigam, and Dr. Noopur Bansal, concluded the session by encouraging participants to spread the knowledge among friends, family, and society for wider awareness and acceptance of cosmetic healthcare.
