LUDHIANA (HS KITTY)Division of Pediatric Dentistry Christian Dental College Ludhiana conducted a 2 day hands on workshop on Concious Sedation .Dr. Srinivas Namineni, renowned expert in sedation dentistry, conducted the workshop on March 11th and 12th, 2024. 45 eager participants from various parts of the country, seeking to enhance their skills in sedation dentistry participated in this Advanced Clinical Training Course
The workshop commenced with an overview of conscious sedation techniques, emphasizing safety protocols and patient selection criteria. Dr. Namineni explained the pharmacology of sedative agents, discussing their mechanisms of action and dosage considerations. Through interactive sessions, participants learned to tailor sedation protocols to individual patient needs while mitigating risks.
Hands-on demonstrations allowed attendees to practice administering sedatives under Dr. Namineni’s guidance, refining their technique and gaining confidence in managing sedated patients. Practical exercises included airway management and monitoring vital signs, crucial skills for ensuring patient safety during sedation procedures.
Dr. Namineni emphasized the importance of effective communication and informed consent in the sedation process, empowering attendees to establish trust and rapport with their patients. Participants also explored strategies for managing complications and emergencies that may arise during sedation, equipping them with the tools to respond swiftly and effectively.
