PunjabiHeadline (H S KITTY) CMC has been leading in health profession education and one of the evidences for that is the selection of Dr Dinesh Badyal, Vice Principal (Med Edu) as President elect of the national organisation, the Academy of Health Professions Education (AHPE) for 2026-2027
. The announcement was made in the 15th Annual conference of the AHPE held in Lucknow. Academy of Health Professions Educators is a registered national organization of health professionals who work for the development and advancement of health professions education (HPE) in India.
The core purpose of this organization is to improve the standards and quality of health professions education in India at all levels – undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development in alignment with the goals of SEARAME and WFME. Dr William Bhatti, Director CMC while congratulating Dr Badyal, highlighted that this will help Dr Badyal and Institute to contribute more to further growth of HPE. CMC Ludhiana is also got selected to host 16th Annual conference of AHPE in 2025. Dr Dinesh Badyal is the organising secretary for this National Conference of Health Profession Education (NCHPE2025).
Dr Jeyaraj D Pandian, Principal CMC added that it’s an honour to host the NCHPE2025 in CMC to showcase the excellence in education achieved by institute over the last 130 years. Dr Badyal was invited to conduct workshop on cultural competence and as panellist on competency based education in NCHPE 2024 in Lucknow.
