Punjabi Head Line (H S KITTY)The Department of Dermatology, DMC&H Ludhiana, in collaboration with IADVL Punjab-Chandigarh-HP State Branch, organized an awareness program on World Vitiligo Day with the theme “Innovation for Every Skin – Powered by AI,” highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in dermatological care.
Dr. Sukhjot Kaur, Professor and Head, Department of Dermatology, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the significance of the day and recent advancements in vitiligo treatment. The program was graced by Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society, along with Sh. Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMCH Managing Society, Dr. Ashima Taneja, Additional Medical Superintendent, and all the faculty members of the Department of Dermatology.Dr. Sukhjot Kaur, Professor and Head, Department of Dermatology
Activities included poster and painting competitions for MBBS and nursing students, and the Department of Dietetics also participated with posters on “Nutrition and Vitiligo.” A session on stress and stigma related to vitiligo was conducted by the Department of Clinical Psychology.
In his address, Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society, highlighted that the Department of Dermatology, DMC&H, has state-of-the-art facilities to cater to the needs of patients.
Dr. Jaspriya Sandhu delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the support and participation of students and faculty. Dr. Navneet Kaur also spoke on the importance of early diagnosis and the impact of technology in vitiligo care. The event concluded with a skit by dermatology residents and OPD staff to debunk myths and spread awareness, written and directed by Dr Jaspriya Sandhu.
