“Healthy food today, stronger generations tomorrow.”
Ludhiana (PUNJABIHEADLINE H S KITTY) The Department of Paediatrics, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, organized an interactive awareness session on “Eat Smart, Grow Strong” for school students.
Dr. Aayush Gupta, Assistant Professor and In-charge of Paediatric Endocrinology, CMC Ludhiana, sensitized nearly 500 students of Class 6 at BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri Road, Ludhiana, along with their teachers, on the importance of balanced nutrition for healthy growth and development.
During the session, Dr. Gupta emphasized the vital role of healthy eating habits, regular physical activity, and avoiding junk food in preventing obesity, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related health problems from an early age. He also shared practical tips to make everyday food choices healthier and enjoyable.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, who engaged actively in discussions. They also took a pledge to adopt healthier eating habits in their daily lives.
The session was highly appreciated by the school community and reflected CMC Ludhiana’s commitment towards building a healthier future by nurturing awareness among young minds.
