Clean Hands, Safe Lives — CMC Leads the Way in Infection-Free Care!
Ludhiana, 15th October 2025:punjabiheadline(H S KITTY) Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, observed Global Hand Washing Day with great enthusiasm under the global theme “Be a Handwashing Hero.” The celebration aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of proper hand hygiene in preventing infections and promoting patient safety.
A series of interactive and educational activities were held throughout the day to engage healthcare workers, patients, and their attendants. The Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Team, in collaboration with the Nursing Department, demonstrated the correct steps of hand washing in both IPD and OPD areas. The initiative helped reinforce the message that clean hands save lives.
Ward In-Charges and nursing staff enthusiastically participated in the demonstrations and took a pledge to uphold and enhance hand hygiene standards in their respective departments.
Speaking on the occasion, IPC representatives emphasized that maintaining clean hands is one of the simplest yet most powerful tools to prevent the spread of infections. The event successfully inspired both staff and patients to make handwashing a daily life-saving habit.
