Ludhiana,( HS KITTY)February:In observance of Cancer Prevention Month, a Cancer Awareness Session was organized yesterday at Tata Steel Ludhiana to educate employees about cancer prevention, risk factors, and the importance of early detection.
The session was conducted by two esteemed doctors from the Department of Radiation Oncology, Christian Medical College (CMC) Ludhiana — Dr. Pamela Jeyaraj, Professor, and Dr. Joel Abraham. They provided valuable insights into common cancers, highlighting preventive measures, lifestyle modifications, warning signs, and the significance of timely screening and early diagnosis.
Employees from various departments actively participated in the interactive session, raising queries and sharing concerns regarding cancer risks and preventive health practices.
Chief Projects, David William, engaged in a thoughtful discussion with the doctors and emphasized the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle changes to reduce cancer risks.
The initiative was organized under the leadership of Head HR, Prashant Kishore, as part of the organization’s continued commitment to employee health, awareness, and overall well-being.
The session concluded with a strong message encouraging regular health check-ups, balanced nutrition, physical activity, and avoidance of tobacco and other harmful habits to prevent cancer and ensure a healthier future.
